Skydive Ireland offers Tandem & Solo Skydiving at Birr Airfield. Located in the center of Ireland, the beautiful and friendly town of Birr, Co. Offaly dates back to the 1600's and is a welcome spot to jump. The town is just 5 mins drive from the airfield on the Roscrea road and has excellent amenities and comfortable hotels, B&B's and excellent restaurants.

Birr Airfield is home to Ormand Flying Club. The flying club has trained pilots to fly for over 30 years and is the best known flying club in Ireland. Many of the commericial flights you would have been on over the years would have been flown by pilots and captains who trained at Birr Airfield.

When you visit for your jump and bring your friends it is also possible to take an Introductory Training Flight with the flying club for as little as €80 for 30mins. You can now experience what it is like to be a pilot for as little as €80 so this is a great thing do for friends or family who are waiting for you to jump. It is subject to availability and you can book it on the day.

Birr Airfield is central to everywhere with excellent motorway access from Dublin (1hr drive), Cork (1.5hr Drive) and Limerick (45 min drive).
